Yoga is for everybody regardless of size, age or level of flexibility! You don’t have to be touch your toes to be able to do yoga. Through the practice of yoga, you will naturally become more flexible.
For guys, a baggy T-shirt and shorts are fine! Women should wear a tight-fitting top and supportive bra that won’t let you down so that when you are in an inversion (like Downward Dog), your top doesn’t come down over your head. You cant go wrong with layers!
The simple answer is yes! Practising yoga during your period can be beneficial especially if you’re experiencing uncomfortable symptoms. Most studies on the effect of yoga on menstruation studied the effect of regular exercise on symptoms. A recent study found that yoga was able to significantly reduce moderate to severe pain, abdominal swelling, and breast tenderness associated with the menstrual cycle. Another study found that women who added yoga to their normal routine two times per week for twelve weeks had significant improvement in menstrual pain, physical fitness, and quality of life
We use Zoom to stream our sessions to you. You can practise along with us as long as you have a device that is connected to the internet and decent sized screen to view the class. All instructions on how to log in etc are given when you book on. See you in practise!
